SFPD Does Nothing During Pride Event with Public Displays of Nudity in Front of Minors – American Faith

While the partitioned area required entrants to be 18 years old, attendees confirmed no IDs were being checked, and it was apparent that underage minors were seen in the area.
Attendees took it upon themselves to ask the local police why nudity was being allowed on public property. The San Francisco police on site commented that the “fetish zone” was in a “different perimeter,” and it was a “pick your battle” type of situation for the officers onsite.
Videos have since been circulated online, showing these acts taking place in broad daylight, with numerous witnesses, including families with children, present.
Local police seemed to have given up on enforcing the law, commenting, “That’s their event,” and what is being done inside the partitioned zone “is handled the way they want.” Police commented further that due to the permits and private nature of the event, there was minimal action they could take, despite the event organizers disregarding laws against public nudity.
The event has become a concern for residents and attendees as pride events are becoming increasingly vulgar and disrespectful of the law. San Francisco has always been a hotbed for the LGBTQ community, but this event is the ultimate visualization of what lawlessness is beginning to look like in blue states across America.
