🗞💬 *WORLD NEWS AND COMMENTARY* 💬🗞

🔥 The big media news yesterday was that Tucker Carlson is re-starting his colossally popular show on … wait for it … Twitter. Corporate media promptly reacted to the news by freaking out. In the clip below, you’ll see the first example of corporate media’s take: it’s right-wing extremist.

GUEST: “Will anybody be able to police what Carlson says? Or is this the point? It’s just a free for all?”

HUMAN POTATO: “I think this is the point, this IS a free for all… this move by Tucker may cement the idea that Twitter is a right-wing website.”

Brian Stelter was reacting to yesterday’s video clip announcing Tucker’s new show, which will be broadcast on Twitter’s brand-new subscription service. Over at CNN Business, they weren’t even trying to appear unbiased, labeling Tucker a “right wing extremist” in the lead graf of a straight news piece:

Well, I guess it’s fair, in a sense, since Tucker started the name-calling. In his video, Tucker said that traditional news outlets — corporate media — are liars, more defined by what they intentionally and deceivingly DON’T tell us:

You often hear people say the news is full of lies … At the most basic level, the news you consume is a lie. A lie of the stealthiest and most insidious kind. Facts have been withheld on purpose. Along with proportion and perspective. You are being manipulated.
How does that work? … If [I say a man has been unjustly arrested] and I don’t mention the same man has been arrested for the same crime six times before, am I really informing you? No, I’m misleading you.
… The rule of what you CAN’T say defines everything.

Elon Musk was paying close attention to Tucker’s announcement and was one of the first to respond. Elon confirmed that, first, Tucker has no special deal with Twitter, no contract or agreement. Second, Elon suggested that Tucker will be using Twitter’s subscriptions feature, which allows content creators to earn a living either from user-supported or advertising-based models:

The takes range from white-hot outrage from the Left, who’d hoped that Tucker would languish forever in contractual Hades, to marveling at Musk’s unbelievable coup, somehow stealing the highest-watched regular news programming in history from Fox onto the Twitter platform.

This potentially signals a seismic shift in the media landscape. If Tucker’s new show is successful, which seems likely, who or what else could move to Twitter, to enjoy the independence and have control of one’s own destiny?

There’s a fancy word for this phenomenon: disintermediation. Getting rid of the middleman. Since corporate media outlets no longer do original investigative reporting, they all get their news from press releases and local outlets, and Tucker can do the exact same thing.

Twitter isn’t slowing down. Musk also announced some pretty significant new Twitter features yesterday, including fully-encrypted (allegedly) direct messages and voice/video calls to other twitter users without needing a phone number.

What do you suppose a completely-unlimited Tucker is going to look like? Things are happening fast.

🔥 In related news, the Post Millennial ran a story yesterday headlined, “BREAKING: Carlson Was Told by a Member of the Fox Board That He Was Taken Off the Air as Part of the Dominion Settlement, Per Tucker’s Legal Team.”

You may recall that we speculated about this possibility, given the timing between the Dominion settlement and Tucker’s firing. The fact that a board member admitted to Tucker that the anchor was fired as a settlement term gave Tucker’s lawyers just what they needed.

In other words, Tucker was not fired for cause, which almost certainly breached his employment agreement.

The Post Millennial said that Carlson’s lawyers argued in a recent letter to Fox that Carlson’s noncompete provision, which would’ve run through 2025, is no longer valid, alleging several Fox employees — including “Rupert Murdoch himself” — intentionally broke promises or other “material representations” with “reckless disregard for the truth.”

In my commercial litigation practice, I often deal with, and litigate over, what we call “restrictive covenants” including non-competes. From what I can tell, I think Tucker is on solid legal ground.

🔥 Yesterday I reported on the tragic death of violent, trans, homeless, career-criminal Banko Brown, who apparently attacked a San Fransisco Walgreen’s security guard and was shot for her trouble. But, for local San Fransisco politicians like Dean Preston, Brown’s death is a terrific opportunity to make the city’s downtown even more apocalyptic and unlivable.

https://twitter.com/DeanPreston/status/1656023543333933057

Preston had the terrific idea for a new law forbidding security guards — who are the last line of defense holding any kind of Bay Area civilization together at all — from even drawing their firearms unless they, themselves, are personally in mortal jeopardy. Preston is proposing a new law that security guards may never pull their weapons to “protect property,” leaving only self-defense, which is the same rule as everyone else.

In other words, Preston wants to disarm all Bay Area security guards because: Banko Brown. Preston doesn’t even know the details of what happened yet, but he assumes that black San Fransisco DA Brooke Jenkins hasn’t charged the security guard because: racism.

If Preston’s law passes, it will either drive all sane security guards completely out of San Fransisco, or else will require them all to be disarmed, which is probably the real goal. Guards, as well as their employers and customers, could be found criminally liable anytime they draw their weapons — regardless of whether they actually USE the weapon — and so could only safely draw if they are first physically attacked.

I assume the law would exempt VIPs’ bodyguards.

Dean Preston doesn’t LOOK stupid. He doesn’t fit the stereotype of someone who might personally enjoy a free shopping session at Walmart. So what gives? As some of you know, my opinion is people like Dean Preston are deploying an intentional strategy of turning major US cities into Gotham City (before Batman), to help lefty billionaires buy up the most expensive real estate in the country at pennies on the dollar.

But I’m open to other explanations.

💉 Two weeks ago, local affiliate Fox 29 reported the story of Kyle Limper, a Kensington teenager who died suddenly and unexpectedly on April 13th from turbo Leukemia. Kyle died one day after being diagnosed.

https://twitter.com/Censored4sure/status/1653181457408327682

His father, Ken Limper, told Fox 29 that before taking him to Jefferson Hospital, he first brought his son to urgent care for back pain after Kyle played basketball. “They told me in a couple of days, if he doesn’t get better, to bring him back. Well, in a couple of days he couldn’t even stand up,” the grieving dad said. “He couldn’t even get out of bed and I had to help him up and stand him up, then he fell right back down on the bed.”

Kyle was eventually rushed to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where doctors said the multi-sport athlete’s organs were shutting down from leukemia. Within 24 hours after he arrived at the hospital, he died.

“Before April 13th, he was a completely healthy and happy young man with no sign of illness,” his obituary states. “It just came and took him in the same day.”

I couldn’t find any story reporting Kyle’s death that even speculated about what could have caused this. Nor did any of the stories discuss the rash of similar cases. Everyone is baffled!

💉 MedRxIV published a Cleveland Clinic study pre-print titled “Effectiveness of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Bivalent Vaccine.”

It should have been titled, the “NON-Effectiveness of the Covid Vaccine,” or “Risks of the Covid Vaccine.”

The short version is the prestigious researchers found that the more jabs a person took, the more likely it was they’d catch symptomatic covid.

The researchers reviewed over 50,000 Cleveland Clinic employees. They found extremely low efficacy at stopping symptomatic infection — 29%, 4%, and 0%, depending on the variant — but their final conclusion really put the stuffing in the punchline:

Risk of COVID-19 also increased with time since most recent prior COVID-19 episode and with the number of vaccine doses previously received.

Here’s how it looks on their graph:

Gosh.

The researchers found very little difference between the bivalent vaccines and the original ones, and also found that the lowest efficacy, near zero (“A protective effect could not be demonstrated”), occurred after the XBB variants appeared, which itself came right after the rollout of the brand-new “bivalent” vaccines themselves, which were supposed to be pharmaceutical Swiss Army knives providing broader protection than the useless original mRNA formulation.

Put differently, as so many predicted, the virus promptly evolved right around the new bivalent vaccine.

Here’s a link to the study.

🔥 The Associated Press ran a story yesterday headlined, “Jury finds Trump liable for sexual abuse, awards accuser $5M.”

Advice columnist E. Jean Carroll sued President Trump for allegedly raping her in either 1995 or 1996, she wasn’t sure, she couldn’t remember exactly when it happened, it was a long time ago. Trump skipped the trial. But even still, the jury found that Trump only “assaulted” the author (touched her without permission) and then defamed Carroll after she started accusing him of raping her.

It was a “he said, she said” case. There was no physical evidence, and what evidence there was pretty much boiled down to Caroll’s testimony. Since Trump never testified, the jury never heard his side. So it was more of a “she said” case, actually.

Publicly, Trump has consistently claimed he never even met Carroll. He called the case a scam, a disgrace, and political witch hunt, and vowed to appeal the verdict.

One lawsuit down, approximately two hundred to go.

🔥 Trending Politics ran a story yesterday headlined, “Ron Johnson: Hunter Paid ‘Tens Of Thousands’ For Sex-Trafficked Prostitutes.”

That’s not a great-looking headline for the Bidens.

Separately from the House Oversight Committee’s investigation, Senator Ron Johnson said yesterday that his Senate committee has evidence that Hunter Biden was involved (as a consumer) in sex trafficking, and that Joe Biden was financing at least part of it.

Johnson told Fox:

“We have the evidence that Hunter Biden paid tens of thousands of dollars for prostitutes that were sex trafficked through an international sex trafficking ring… And President Biden, during about a four- or five-month period, offered to pay for about $100,000 of Hunter Biden’s bills[.]”

https://twitter.com/SenRonJohnson/status/1656002643007877120

Interestingly, both the House and Senate appear to also have Antony Blinken in their sights, with Johnson accusing the unqualified Secretary of State of having lied to Congress. What they intend to do about it is a different question.

I’d speculate that Joe Biden might soon be facing impeachment proceedings, except that he has Kamala insurance.

🚀 Yesterday Robert Kennedy, Jr. explained the Proxy War at some length in a video clip. It was fascinating, since at least 20% of democrats will admit to favoring RFK over Joe Biden, suggesting that democrat support for the Proxy War might be sagging.

Anyway, RFK explained how the U.S.’s “assistance” to Ukraine wasn’t actually helping the Ukrainians — just the opposite. RFK feels that we’re just propping them up for the Russians to use for Slavic target dummies, while hoping that the Russians will expend all their bullets and missiles and stuff.

RFK explained:

That’s what Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said in 2022, our objective is to exhaust and degrade Russian forces so they cannot fight anywhere else. President Biden acknowledged that one of his objectives in the war was regime change in Russia and removing Vladimir Putin. If those are the objectives, that is the opposite of a humanitarian mission. That is a mission to maximize casualties to prolong the war. It’s essentially a war of attrition, and that’s what we are seeing, and the brunt of this is being paid by the flower of Ukrainian youth.…
What we’re doing in Ukraine is not good for the Ukrainian people. We have killed 300,000 Ukrainian troops and 14,000 civilians in a neocon geopolitical machination – in our own plot to try to get rid of Putin and exhaust the Russian army – and we’re sacrificing the Ukrainian people in that vanity.

We’ll fight the Russians to the last Ukrainian. Kennedy seems to be saying that we’re sacrificing a generation of Ukrainians — more or less all their childbearing-aged males — so that the U.S. Neo-cons can weaken Russia, Russia, Russia.

Here’s the full clip (14 minutes), but you can read it instead, the tweet reprints the entire transcript:

💉 Yesterday we celebrated a chronic masker appearing to be slowly waking up, or at least having a brief moment of welcome clarity at the airport when she realized she was the only one wearing a mask.

But it looks like we still have a lot of work to do. Observe, if you will, the covid test junkie, obsessing over her NINE consecutive covid tests yesterday, all taken on the same day:

After those eight tests she still wasn’t COMPLETELY sure, it could be false negatives, so first she decided to just go with the initial positive test and call it covid, but that would mean she FAILED at masking and hand washing and everything, so within an hour she gave in and went for the ninth test, to settle it for sure:

Her weird sticky blood is probably just dehydration — all that anxiety is drying her out. But at least she got a lot of attention!

Have a wonderful Wednesday! I’ll see you back here tomorrow for more.
