A uniformed U.S. Secret Service agent discovered a powdery white substance in the White House this week, prompting a brief evacuation.
The substance, later identified in preliminary testing as cocaine, was found during a patrol of the West Wing on Sunday night. The substance is now undergoing additional testing.
“We have a yellow bar stating cocaine hydrochloride,” a D.C. firefighter said in a radio communication to a Hazmat team. “Bag it up and take it out.”
Officials claimed that the cocaine was not found in the executive mansion, where the first family lives, and that it was found in “a work area in the West Wing,” not in the library.
Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi would not give specifics about the exact location where the drugs were found, but claimed that there was “an investigation into the cause and manner” of how the cocaine got into the White House.
President Joe Biden and his family, including admitted cocaine-addict Hunter Biden, who was kicked out of the military for testing positive for cocaine, were reportedly at Camp David when the drugs were found.
The news comes just a couple weeks after the Biden administration faced intense backlash for inviting a transgender activist to the White House who took his top off during a White House event after meeting the president.
Former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer responded to the news about cocaine being found in the White House by calling on reporters to do their jobs.
“You have got to be kidding me,” he said. “Cocaine was found at the WH and authorities aren’t saying exactly where it was found. If it’s the Old Executive Office Building, it’s likely staff. If it’s the mansion, it’s likely Hunter. Reporters do your job.”
Meghan McCain added, “No Republican president could have someone pose topless on the White House lawn at an official event FOLLOWED BY cocaine being found in the White House and not have the media just go absolutely bat s**t insane.”
