WORLD NEWS AND COMMENTARY

🔥 You’re not going to believe this story, but here we go again. Just wait till you see all the connecting parts. We’ll begin with a Hindustan Times story that ran yesterday headlined, “Nipah virus: Health department tightens restrictions in Kerala.” Yep. They’re doing it again.

image.png

Kerala is an urban political region in southwest India where 33 million people live. The Kerala region is subdivided into about 22,000 tiny ‘wards’, which are comparable to village or neighborhood councils. Wards typically contain between 5,000 and 20,000 people.

image 6.png

Nipah virus is a relatively-new, high-fatality respiratory virus that first appeared in India back in 2001. It’s a nasty bug. It features a startling 40%-75% mortality rate, is rated for BSL-4, the highest biolab security requirement, and is a CDC designated “Bioterrorism Agent.” Articles describing the current two human deaths variously suggest a zoonotic (animal) origin for the virus either from pigs or, wait for it, fruit bats.

It reportedly spreads through body fluids.

Nipah virus is NOT airborne. Of course, that’s not stopping everybody in Kerala from maniacally wearing masks because, why would it? Masks can stop any kind of virus using their magical mask powers. You just have to make the right sacrifices to the mask gods, or something.

Two deaths is not an outbreak. The official alarm seems to stem from the fact that the second guy who died was contact traced to the first victim. The second guy ran into the first guy at the hospital, which strongly suggests human-to-human transmission. And that’s what has everyone so excited.

One case of human transmission.

In spite of the fact that all post-pandemic studies of lockdowns concluded lockdowns don’t work, and cause enormous unintended harms, the article reported that India’s health ministry has already declared 45 Kerala wards as a “containment zone” after discovering the two Nipah deaths. The containment order imposed a useless lockdown, restricting access to the 45 wards, shuttering schools, prohibiting public gatherings, nixing “non-essential” businesses, mandating masks, requiring testing and tracing, and setting a 5pm curfew.

It was not clear from the Hindustan Times article (or any of the other articles) how India’s ministry of health concluded that a lockdown was needed for a non-airborne virus. Apparently you don’t even need to explain it anymore.

In case you are germaphobically fretting over this new viral threat, don’t worry! Just last year in July, Moderna and Fauci’s NIAID started a clinical trial for a new mRNA vaccine for … the Nipah virus! What good luck!

But wait, there’s more. Almost exactly two years ago, researchers published a study on arXiv concluding they’d found Indian-origin Nipah virus DNA in, get this, the five original covid-19 patients at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) lab.

image 3.png

The researchers were astonished finding Nipah virus where it shouldn’t be, because it proved “that research at WIV was being conducted on an assembled  infectious clone.” This was so astonishing because the BSL-3-rated Wuhan lab wasn’t supposed to be working on any BSL-4-level viruses:

Research involving Nipah [NiV] infectious clones has never been reported to have occurred at the WIV…  [these findings] indicate that research at WIV was being conducted on an assembled NiV infectious clone. Contamination of patient sequencing reads by an infectious NiV clone of the highly pathogenic Bangladesh strain could indicate a significant breach of BSL-4 protocols. We call on WIV to explain the purpose of this research on infectious clones of Nipah Virus, the full chronology of this work, and to explain how and at what stage of sample preparation this contamination occurred.

I’ll give you two guesses. Which do you think happened: one, the Wuhan lab was immediately forced to explain why it was secretly experimenting on a dangerous potential bioweapon like Nipah, or two, everybody completely ignored this shocking 2021 study?

Yep. It was two.  But the story didn’t completely die. One year later in 2022, Congress heard testimony that the Wuhan lab was experimenting on Nipah. Here’s the headline from the Washington Times’ August 9th, 2022 article:

image 7.png

The article reported that a Senate subcommittee on emerging threats took testimony from a scientific witness, Dr. Steven Quay, who testified the Wuhan Institute of Virology was carrying out synthetic biology research on the Nipah virus genome in December 2019, right around the same time the first covid-19 cases surfaced in Wuhan.

Dr. Quay was blunt. He accused the WIV of bioengineering Nipha. He told Senators, “Nipah is a BSL-4 level pathogen and a CDC-designated bioterrorism agent. This is the most dangerous gain-of-function research I have ever encountered. We should assume this research continues to this day at the WIV.”

But it gets better. In 2021, around the same time Fauci’s NIAID started working with Moderna to trial a Nipah mRNA vaccine, Fauci also awarded a separate $2.3 million dollar grant to study the Nipah virus in bats, and guess who he awarded the grant to?

image 4.png

Yep. Peter Daszak of EcoHealth Alliance, who at the time was up to his dirty, bioweapons money-laundering neck in the covid disaster. And … bats again. They love the bat viruses. Someday we’ll figure out why.

But wait… the story gets even better! Guess what particular medication that, in 2019, the NIH  found was allegedly “completely protective” against Nipah? Hint: Fauci loves this medication. Yep. You guessed it. Run-death-is-near:

image 8.png

Are you feeling the Dejá vu yet? Next, consider this: In May 2018, Johns Hopkins ran one of its now-infamous “tabletop exercise” planning sessions, this time using a bioengineered Nipah-Flu combo virus as the simulation’s subject.

The last line in the event’s description was the most chilling:

image 5.png

As a lawyer, I would call it “real world evidence” that there’s a study and testimony proving the Wuhan lab — which used gain-of-function techniques to engineer the covid virus by making it more transmissible in humans — was (or is) also working on gain of function on the Nipah virus.

I’m telling you, these health bureaucrats and experts are going to get us all killed one of these days.

THE BOTTOM LINE

Wild-type Nipah is not a pandemic candidate, for two good reasons, First, it has a too-high fatality rate. People get too sick too fast for it to spread efficiently. Second and more important, Nipah isn’t airborne. Transmission requires physical contact, which means: no super-spreading.

It’s true that could change if a new weaponized version of the virus suddenly appears, but that hasn’t happened yet. India’s been dealing with small Nipah outbreaks like this for twenty years since 2001, and newspapers have been wrongly predicting Nipah pandemics all that time.

Based on what we know, it looks more like India is overreacting than anything else. If and when it looks like the usual suspects will try knitting Nipah into a pandemic, then I’ll offer suggestions for how we should respond. But, in yet another coincidence, I have seen at least one published study suggesting ivermectin is effective against the family of viruses that includes Nipah. You might want to order yourself a couple boxes.

For now, the real story is not India The real story is Wuhan: the Wuhan lab is experimenting with Nipah! That should be a four-alarm fire. And the NIH is funding it! Our representatives need to pull the plug for good on our uselessly-dangerous big health agencies, and we need to shut down that lab in Wuhan before something worse than covid happens.

🦇 The New York Post ran a disgraceful story this week headlined, “CIA tried to pay off analysts to bury findings that COVID lab leak was likely: whistleblower.

image 11.png

Top spook, CIA Director William J. Burns.

Earlier this week, a “senior level” CIA whistleblower testified under oath to the Senate Pandemic Committee that the CIA bribed its own seven-member covid origins investigation team to abandon their original conclusion that covid came out of the Wuhan Institute of Virology in favor of an ambiguous “undetermined” conclusion.

image 12.png

According to the whistleblower, six out of the seven analysts had concluded that covid came from a lab leak.

image 9.png

Clip from Fox’s Ingraham Angle – 1:26

The Pandemic subcommittee fired off a letter to CIA Director William Burns, who might be in Ukraine again, or maybe off visiting the Saudis, who knows. Burns is a hands-on type of guy. He gets around. Anyway, the committee’s letter requested documents and witness interviews, and summarized the whistleblower’s sadly-unsurprising testimony:

image 10.png

A “significant monetary incentive.” I can’t wait to find out how significant. Adding insult to injury, what do you want to bet the treasonous CIA used our own money to bribe its analysts to change their conclusion?

Is it just me? Or do you ever get the feeling the government is completely out of control right now?

📉 Human Events editor Jack Posobiec tweeted Friday the most recent Reuters polling numbers predicted a Trump landslide:

image 13.png

Jack suggested this could explain the stealth anti-Biden media campaign over the last couple weeks: Democrats might be freaking out over their internal polling.

Reuters’ Saturday poll erased Trump’s lead and put him back even with Biden.

We are still over a year out from the election, and even if Friday’s poll was accurate, at this point polls are more useful for entertainment than for anything predictive. But it certainly is amusing to wonder what the democrats’ internal polls of their own voters show about flagging enthusiasm for President Peters.

🔥 This week saw three major natural disasters that are worth mentioning for their frequency and intensity.

— There was record flooding in Greece, which destroyed a stunning 25% of the country’s arable farmland. From the AP yesterday: “The cost of damage from the record floods in Greece’s breadbasket is estimated to be in the billions.

image 14.png

Greece’s Thessaly region saw more than a year’s worth of rainfall in 48 hours, swamping its central fertile farming plain. Some estimates say they got as much as three year’s rainfall. According to the EU, some 73,000 hectares — an area nearly as large as New York City — remain under water.

This won’t help the food situation.

Then, the same Mediterranean cyclone named “Daniel” that swamped Greece moved over and flooded Libya.

In a curious coincidence, Daniel is one of the most significant end-times books in the Old Testament. Just saying.

— CNN ran a story yesterday headlined, “Libya floods: Death toll rises to 11,300 in Derna, severely decomposing bodies found in the sea.

According to the UN, over 40,000 people have been displaced across northeastern Libya since the extreme rainfall brought by Cyclone Daniel, and up to 12,000 have died. Up to 800,000 more have been affected.

image 15.png

— Morocco is suffering from the after-effects of a 6.8 magnitude earthquake a week ago last Friday, with up to 3,000 identified fatalities so far. Yesterday, CBS News ran a heartening story headlined, “CBS News team covering the Morocco earthquake finds a tiny puppy alive in the rubble.

image 16.png

Last week’s earthquake was the second deadliest earthquake in all of North Africa since at least 1900. Quakes are relatively rare in North Africa. This one wiped some Moroccan villages completely off the map.

Many ancient historical sites have been damaged or destroyed:

image 17.png

And here is the tiny puppy that the plucky CBS reporters found in some rubble:

image 18.png

What can I say about all these disasters? It’s horrifying for the people affected, tragic for the human lives lost. First Maui, now all this. Wildfires, floods, earthquakes. They will blame climate change, of course, but first they’ll have to explain how climate change causes earthquakes.

The rapid-fire pace of historic levels of disaster reminded me of a significant New Testament end-times passage, Matthew 24. Jesus said this:

You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.

The concept of “birth pains” invokes labor pains, which includes contractions. At the start, contractions are mild and are spread out. As things progress, the contractions become more and more intense and happen closer and closer together — right up until the birth. To me, that feels like an appropriate description for the dizzying pace of natural disasters lately.

Don’t get me wrong. I am NOT claiming the End is Near. How would I know? I’m a lawyer, not a theologian. But I would be remiss, especially to our Christian C&Cers, to omit mentioning the striking similarities. We live in strange times.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Greece, Libya, and Morocco.

💉 This week, Epoch Times’ excellent American Thought Leaders podcast featured a Jan Jakeliak interview with outstanding covid doc Dr. Harvey Risch. It’s a great episode, you should watch the whole thing when you have time, but I found this next clip especially timely after yesterday’s post about Dr. McCullough. Where Dr. McCullough couldn’t talk about turbo-cancer, Dr. Risch sure did.

image 2.png

American Thought Leaders with Dr. Harvey Risch clip (5 min).

Dr. Harvey Risch is a distinguished cancer epidemiologist at the Yale School of Public Health and Yale School of Medicine, and Professor Emeritus of Epidemiology. Dr. Risch has published over 400 original peer-reviewed studies in the medical literature, and his research has been cited over 50,000 times. He is a member of Connecticut’s Academy of Sciences and Engineering.

Dr. Risch told Jan that clinical oncologists have been seeing some very strange things lately. Things like long-latency cancers in very young people, such as 25-year olds with colon cancer. Or vaccinated women who’ve recovered from breast cancer, but whose quiescent breast cancers are now suddenly re-manifesting. These kinds of cancers, he said, were previously “impossible along the known paradigm.”

Dr. Risch thinks there must have been some kind of initiating stimulus. He was clearly referring to the jabs. Then Dr. Risch suggested a mechanism of injury that could be causing these recurring and turbo-cancers: immune problems.

“Cancer is something that the body normally fights off… if you damage the immune system in a way that limits the ability to recognize or to disable newly growing deranged cancer cells, then that opens the door to them multiplying to the point where it’s beyond the immune system to cope. And that’s the mechanism I think is the most likely here. We know the Covid vaccines have damaged some people’s immune systems.”

Dr. Risch said they don’t know how big the problem is, “it is certainly not universal.”

🔥 Finally, in terrific news, the New York Times ran a glorious story yesterday headlined, “Texas Attorney General  Is Acquitted in Landmark Senate Trial.

image 19.png

Among other notable accomplishments, Texas’s conservative, pro-Trump Attorney General Ken Paxton has filed over 100 lawsuits against the federal government, challenging a wide range of regulations and policies including Obama’s Affordable Care Act, DACA, and vaccine mandates. His office holds the national record for successful election fraud convictions. In 2022 alone, Paxton convicted over 500 people for election fraud offenses.

On May 27th, in a process that many observers believe was driven by disaffected establishment Republicans, the Texas House of Representatives voted to impeach Paxton on 20 counts, which automatically suspended him from office.

But yesterday, Paxton was acquitted on all counts in the State Senate from sixteen surviving impeachment charges alleging bribery, misconduct, and corruption. Texas requires a two-thirds Senate vote for conviction, but not one of the articles even got a majority vote. The Senators voted against conviction mostly along party lines.

Paxton’s impeachment trial took nine days.

One of the main charges against Paxton was that he’d done political favors for a real-estate developer donor, in exchange for the developer installing some free marble countertops in Paxton’s kitchen. In other words, “bribery” or “quid pro quo.” But Paxton’s lawyers presented evidence that the new granite countertops story never actually happened. It was made up.

Countertops! If Paxton had gotten a Ukrainian special prosecutor fired, so his son could keep making millions, Paxton would have been sitting pretty. But countertops, no. That’s over the line.

“There was no evidence,” said Republican Senator Bob Hall, who voted to dismiss all the articles. Paxton said afterwards in a statement, “The weaponization of the impeachment process to settle political differences is not only wrong, it is immoral and corrupt.”

We agree.

A federal criminal investigation prompted by many of the same charges arising from the failed impeachment continues. At one point during the Senate trial, Paxton’s lawyers got former Paxton aide Ryan Vassar to admit that he had reported the attorney general to the F.B.I. — but had “no evidence” of the alleged crimes.

J. Mitchell Little, a lawyer for Mr. Paxton, asked Ryan Vassar on the stand, “You went to the F.B.I. on Sept. 30 with your compatriots and reported the elected attorney general of this state for a crime without any evidence, yes?”

Mr. Vassar replied, “That’s right, we took no evidence.”

Who needs evidence?

Anyway. Attorney General Paxton isn’t out of the woods yet, but at least he can go back to work now. Hopefully with renewed enthusiasm. Great enthusiasm.

Have a blessed Sunday! Return tomorrow morning for an all-new roundup so we can kick the week off right.
