🚀 Narrative alert! Let’s start today’s Israel update with yesterday’s CNBC headline about Ukraine:

image 4.png

Or: Israel attacked, Ukraine hardest hit! And Zelensky smells a rat-faced pivot coming.

The former comedian has a point. Only ten minutes or so ago — despite its failed counteroffensive — Ukraine was still the media’s darling, its intimate lover and constant companion. But today, bupkis. Now, the media’s not even texting back. They practically blocked Zelensky on Facebook.

They don’t want him anymore, because there’s a newer, better, purer war to talk about.

In even worse news for Ukraine, it wasn’t just the media noticing the opportunity for a strategic pivot. The Biden Administration has latched onto the Israeli war like a drowning conman latches onto the only life preserver.  From yesterday’s New York Times:

image 5.png

Biden didn’t just call the attacks “evil.” He called them “pure, unadulterated evil.” Joe sees degrees of evil. To Joe, evil can be watered-down, impure, or adulterated, which is when someone is kind of evil and kind of good. But this, this is the real deal. This aggression will not stand.

This is 100% pure evil, there’s nothing good about it whatsoever, it is black and white.

Now, you may agree with Joe. But it was a surprise that Joe Biden figured it out so fast. And the New York Times is just in love with the way Joe was talking. Here’s how the Times waxed eloquent describing Biden’s bristling, podium-pounding comments:

Mr. Biden bristled with indignation during a 10-minute statement at the White House after speaking with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, appearing as angry as he has in public since becoming president. He denounced the attack as “evil” multiple times and used words like “butchered,” “slaughtered,” “massacred,” “abhorrent,” “brutality” and “bloodthirstiness” to describe it.
“Infants in their mother’s arms, grandparents in wheelchairs, Holocaust survivors, abducted and held hostage,” Mr. Biden said while flanked by Vice President Kamala Harris and Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken in the State Dining Room. “Hostages who Hamas has now threatened to execute in violation of every code of human morality. It’s abhorrent. The brutality of Hamas’s bloodthirstiness brings to mind the worst rampages of ISIS.”
He added: “Hamas offers nothing but terror and bloodshed with no regard for who pays the price. The loss of innocent life is heartbreaking. Like every nation in the world, Israel has the right to respond, indeed has a duty to respond to these vicious attacks.”

Biden’s speechwriter was obviously told to get out the thesaurus and don’t hold back.

I don’t mean to assume Biden is insincere (although I can’t help it). But due to American citizen involvement, the narrative over Israel’s war against Hamas is quickly coalescing into a joint battle of the forces of good against an evil common enemy. The politics over the Israeli conflict are much easier since it began with real war crimes against perfectly sympathetic innocents, not like Ukraine’s messy cast of characters including amoral nazis, corrupt oligarchs, crisis actors, and botched friendly-fire snafus.

In that sense, the War in Israel offers the Biden Administration its last pre-election chance at political redemption, a possible path to transcend its disastrous, cowardly withdrawal from Afghanistan and a coming long, painful winter mired in the literal quagmire of the hopelessly unwinnable Ukraine war.

🚀 As Israel continued counting the weekend’s dead yesterday, the figures kept rising, surging +30% from 900 in the previous day’s report to now over 1,200, including over 170 Israeli IDF soldiers. The new dead aren’t from any new fighting, they’re counted from newly-discovered bodies. It’s likely there are more, maybe many more.

News of Hamas’s literally unbelievable savagery and barbarism against unarmed civilians continued surfacing throughout the day yesterday. The stone-age barbarity of what Hamas has done is so unbelievable and soindescribable that a lot of people literally don’t believe it, preferring to assume the whole thing must be a psyop, at least in part because the alternative — that the stories are true — is simply too horrible to consider.

Some of the rumors about the Hamas’s crimes are just that, rumors. But too much of that sort of news was credible, and because the savagery was so widespread and was not isolated to a few bad actors or rogue militants, I can only conclude that Hamas was intentionally trying to horrify everyone by slaughtering defenseless women and children in ways you’d expect from an insane serial killer.

Maybe Hamas wants to light the fires of a wider regional conflict, and is using unforgivable barbarity against women and children as a tactic to manufacture a massive political backlash.  At least that would be rational, even if disgraceful.

The good news yesterday was that regional state actors like Iran, Syria, and Lebanon have  — so far — continued to stay out of the conflict in any serious way. Iran’s biggest ally, Russia, publicly continues to officially urge restraint and non-violence. Israel continues to assemble a very large ground force with which to invade Gaza, and when that happens, we’ll see a real test of Middle East restraint.

🚀 Fortune ran a story yesterday headlined, “Potentially historic deal to normalize Saudi-Israel relations is ‘off the table’ after this weekend’s 9/11-scale attack, top political analyst says.

image 12.png

The unbridled passion and white-hot rhetoric over the surging Arab-Israeli conflict has scotched hopes for an historic Saudi-Israel peace agreement. In other words, the historic peace deal is now history. It rapidly became a non-starter under the frantic pace of current events. So that’s that.

🚀 Another one! The Wall Street Journal ran a story yesterday headlined, “Finland and Estonia See Likely Sabotage in Damage to Pipeline and Telecoms Cable.

image 13.png

Over the weekend, authorities shut down the undersea Baltic Connector between Finland and Estonia after detecting a leak in a 48-mile offshore gas pipeline. Around the same time, a telecommunications cable linking Estonia and Finland — 230 feet below the Baltic Sea — also stopped transmitting.

Coincidentally, the damage happened just a few days after the first anniversary of the mysterious Nordstream bombings that remain unsolved and always will be.

The Finnish are hinting darkly about sabotage. On the other hand, there was no explosion, and the leak was quickly sealed, although the repairs may take longer.  The article stopped short of accusing Russia right off the bat this time, but you know it’s coming.

This is the kind of thing that makes me say World War III started two years ago.

🔥 Meanwhile, back here in America, people are starting to ask questions about our border problem. Fox News ran a story yesterday headlined, Thousands of ‘special interest aliens’ from Middle East countries stopped at southern border since 2021: data.

image 8.png

According to internal Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data leaked to Fox News and confirmed by other CBP sources, the data shows that over the last two years, tens of thousands of “special interest aliens” from mostly Middle Eastern countries were captured by Border Patrol while illegally invading the U.S.’s southern border. The captured aliens included “special interest” types from places like Syria, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Turkey, and more.

The data did not say how many of captured migrants were removed versus how many were just released back into the U.S. with a court date.  It also did not estimate or count the numbers who have snuck past agents without detection. CBP sources told Fox there have been more than 1.5 million “getaways” during the Biden administration.

So, contrary to the nonsense the Biden Administration is peddling, it’s not just hardworking Mexican families trying to reunite with loved ones in the U.S. and who just want to become good citizens and taxpayers. For whatever reason, the federal government has allowed our border to essentially collapse and now every bad actor with an axe to grind is sailing in.

It’s time to focus on the United States’s border problem, instead of other countries’ border problems, and the invasion of America, instead of the invasion of other countries.

🛰️ Heads up! Literally. Skywatchers and amateur astronomers should note that Space.com is offering a live update website for tracking this Saturday’s rare “Ring of Fire” annular solar eclipse (October 14). The tracking website can be found here: Annular solar eclipse 2023: Live updates.

image 9.png

Pay no attention to the fact that Saturday’s eclipse path and April 2024’s eclipse path “X” out the United States. It’s probably nothing. Also don’t think too hard about Saturday’s eclipse exiting the U.S. square over Corpus Christi (“the Body of Christ”).

🔥 The New York Times ran a story Monday headlined, “Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to Run for President as Independent, Leaving Democratic Primary.

image 10.png

We expected the announcement. It’s not like RFK is a member of one of the most famous and well-loved democrat political dynasties or anything. For some mysterious reason, Kennedy got zero traction with the democrat party, and rapidly became a scratched-at-the-post non-starter.

So on Monday Robert Kennedy, Jr. announced his separation from the democrat party and his presidential run as an independent. His nifty theme is, “Declare Your Independence.” It was no small thing. Running as an independent is an expensive, uphill battle to get on the ballot in all 50 states.

Nor is Establishment Media happy about Kennedy. They don’t like him at all. The New York Times described Kennedy at the top of the story’s second paragraph as “a leading vaccine skeptic and purveyor of conspiracy theories.” Vanity Fair ran an interview with Kennedy this week under the headline, “Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World” — four mad’s, in case you missed the point — along with this terrifying photo:

image 11.png

The AP’s headline was a touch more informative. The news agency’s story reported, “RFK Jr.’s independent run for president draws GOP criticism and silence from national Democrats.

The sounds of silence speak volumes.

💉 The search engines are burying them deeper than ever. I just found this Fox11-LA story, originally filed a few months back, headlined “Celebrity OBGYN identified as hiker who died at Will Rogers State Park: report.

image 2.png

Obstetrician to the stars Dr. Jay Goldberg, 53, was hiking in Los Angeles’ Will Rogers State Historic Park on May 29th when he had a sudden and unexpected heart attack and promptly died. It was a three-fer: another dead hiker, another dead doctor, another dead celebrity.

Jay’s clients included LA celebrities like John Mellencamp’s daughter, Teddi Mellencamp of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and NFL star Marcellus Wiley’s wife.

It’s a good thing I have redundant sources, since none of the search engines returns Jay’s death, even though it was reported in Fox11, the New York Post, and the UK Daily Mail. I take that back: dozens of hits come up on Yandex. But until I visited the first article, not one word appeared on Google or Twitter (except for in accounts that I explicitly follow).

That’s okay. They’ll keep burying the stories and I’ll keep figuring out how to find them.

🔥 Politico ran a promising story yesterday headlined, “DeSantis Floats Florida-Based Sanctions Against Iran.” Reacting to Biden’s gifting Iran with $6B dollars for five hostages, Governor DeSantis gave a speech yesterday announcing his own plan to ask the state’s legislature to ban all official business between Florida and Iran. And he called on other states to do the same.

Here’s the flyer that went along with the update:

image.png

Even though sanctions would be limited to Florida, you never know. Florida’s ban on investing in ESG funds last December led to Blackrock reeling in some of its woke agenda, for example.

image 7.png

🔥 NBC affiliate KPVI Channel 6 ran a seasonal story yesterday headlined, “Oh my gourd: Hippo-sized pumpkin is world’s biggest.” Don’t call it ‘fat.’ Here is the massive 2,749-pound monster pumpkin being lifted by crane:

image 3.png

I have so many questions. What kind of fertilizer were they using? Did the pumpkin get the jab? Does it have alien DNA? How many pies is that? Why does it look like a doughnut? Most importantly, is it angry?

Green-thumbed — or maybe green armed — Minnesotan Travis Gienger won $30,000 yesterday at the Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival in California during its annual contest. The runner-up gourd weighed in at an unbelievable 2,499 pounds. Which means farmers in Minnesota are literally growing one ton pumpkins. Somebody should really look into exactly what is going on up there.

Anyway, you have to admit, the monster pumpkin is pretty appropriate for Halloween season. A pumpkin that could literally crush you and your car is very scary. Just think about the devastation that would be unleashed if that gargantuan gourd started rolling downhill. People would be fleeing in panic.

Have a wonderful Wednesday! Please pray for peace and restraint today. I’m also praying to be back home, comfortably ensconced at Casa Childers, without any further travel adventures, so that I can draft up another terrific roundup tomorrow.
