WORLD NEWS AND COMMENTARY 💬🗞

🔥 For some reason, commitio cordis survivor Damar Hamlin wore a mask while he was infesting the sidelines of the Bills-Bengals game on Sunday. And something about his picture seemed strangely familiar…then I got it:

image.png

Oh my gosh. They killed Kenny! I mean Damar.

Now we know where they got Damar’s body double.

(* It’s a running South Park gag, in case you’ve never seen the show.)

🔥 The New York Post ran a story yesterday headlined, “New Emails Show DHS Created Stanford ‘Disinfo’ Group That Censored Speech Before 2020 Election.” It could have been headlined, How Stanford Basically Put a Kid Who Looks 16 In Charge of All Social Media. Meet Graham Brookie, who at least wears a suit:

image 2.png

In case you thought America’s “prestigious” universities could still be rehabilitated, then … oh never mind. Nobody thinks that. I’ll start over.

The Post’s article was the latest item of conclusory evidence that our “top” university system should be liquidated and sold to the Chinese for scrap, since they love it so much, but only so long as they promise to keep it and never give it back.

The actual news was that the House Judiciary Committee released an interim report yesterday concluding that Stanford University was essentially the hub of a vast criminal conspiracy to censor conservative speech in advance of the 2020 election. Using contemporary vocabulary, Stanford and its demonic officials orchestrated an insurrection, interfered with the presidential election, and conspired with swarms of government officials to deprive U.S. citizens of their Constitutional rights.

There are more details in the article, but the gist was that in classic fascist style — meaning ‘actual’ literal fascism — Stanford served as the hub between a bunch of acronymed NGO’s — almost certainly funded by the tax dollars of the same citizens who were being censored — and university students and faculty, interfacing the NGO’s (who were picking which speech to censor) with government agencies who then sent officious threatening emails to private social media companies, basically telling them what and who to censor on a day-by-day, hour-by-hour basis.

To try and simplify things, I made an infographic for you.  Now, I’m a lawyer, not a graphic designer, so apologies to your eyeballs. Here’s how the scam worked: Stanford was a sort of censorship hub, helping gag the very same Americans whose money was being stolen (taxed) to pay the outsized salaries of pretentious liberals like Graham Brookie employed by sketchy, grant-funded, shake-and-bake, leftist non-profit groups:

image 3.png

I might have missed something, but I hope you get the idea. (To C&Cers with graphic talent: please feel free to improve on my fledgling infographic if you feel inspired. It won’t hurt my feelings. If you like, email it to suzette.witt@smartbizlaw.com.)

Stanford and the other members of the “prestigious” university club believe both that they are simultaneously (1) entitled to our money and (2) smarter than we are. Unfortunately, they hallucinate a perfectly rotten idea that the “smartest” people around should be able to tell everybody else what to do and be supported by them at the same time, never mind that history has proven such technocratic systems are only effective at filling mass graves.

The marxist occupation of our so-called ’top’ educational institutions used to be a hilarious artifact of college life. Silly red berets, squatting in coffee shops, stomaching socialist poetry readings, all that kind of stuff. But the marxists morphed into fascists while nobody was looking, and now they have shoved their bloody hands dangerously deep right into the federal government’s bowels.

Obviously Stanford has grown too dangerous for us to allow it to keep wandering around society and it should be powered down. I’d suggest corporate America should boycott hiring students graduating from any of these odious institutions, but it seems like the fascists also control the Fortune 50. Let’s see, what else we could do?

Oh wait! Trump and the Heritage Foundation have some ideas.

🔥 This weekend, the Washington Post ran a hysterical, long-form, non-paywalled article headlined, “Trump And Allies Plot Revenge, Justice Department Control In A Second Term.” Revenge plots! The sub-headline darkly warned, “Advisers have also discussed deploying the military to quell potential unrest on Inauguration Day. Critics have called the ideas under consideration dangerous and unconstitutional.”

Clearly the WaPo became very upset when it discovered that the Trump Team is working with the Heritage Foundation to draft various procedures and executive orders intended to drain the swamp and safeguard the 2024 election. In particular, WaPo was incensed at Trump’s alleged plans to investigate a whole slew of people in the federal government, including both democrats (like Biden and his family) as well as Republicans (like Attorney General Bill Barr and Retired General Mark Milley).

Trump and Heritage have also suggested deployment of the U.S. Military under the Insurrection Act, to protect the 2024 election from violent protests and other types of election sabotage.

In light of all that, suddenly, somehow, the completely tone-deaf WaPo has magically discovered the alarming term: “banana republic.” Apparently, when conservatives even think about doing it, banana-republicing is “dangerous” and “unconstitutional”:

To facilitate Trump’s ability to direct Justice Department actions, his associates have been drafting plans to dispense with 50 years of policy and practice intended to shield criminal prosecutions from political considerations. Critics have called such ideas dangerous and unconstitutional.
“It would resemble a banana republic if people came into office and started going after their opponents willy-nilly,” said Saikrishna Prakash, a constitutional law professor at the University of Virginia who studies executive power. “It’s hardly something we should aspire to.”

Really? Would it resemble a banana republic if people came into office and started going after their opponents willy-nilly? Hmm. I wonder. Do you think we could find any examples of that kind of thing laying around the country anywhere?  Now, before you guys say what I know you are going to say, the WaPo was way ahead of you.

Don’t say Trump! Trump’s prosecutions are totally different and not politically-motivated at all. Here’s how the WaPo simply explained the difference:

Trump has claimed without evidence that the criminal charges he is facing — a total of 91 across four state and federal indictments — were made up to damage him politically.
(But) Special counsel Jack Smith, Attorney General Merrick Garland and Biden have all said that Smith’s prosecution decisions were made independently of the White House, in accordance with department rules on special counsels.

So there you have it! It’s so simple. Case closed. Grandma Garland and President Robert L. Peters have both assured you — quite firmly now — that politics had nothing to do with it; Trump is just a master criminal who went on a national crime spree of victimless process crimes and now he must pay the price. And don’t worry, Biden and Garland would definitely tell us if they were prosecuting Trump banana republic style. They wouldn’t lie about something like that.

Neither would the Washington Post, dummies. How dare you.

Seriously, though, I’m not a fan of banana-republic-style political prosecutions when anybody does it. But the banana-colored feline is out of the Republic’s bag, or words to that effect. Reform would be great. We desperately need criminal justice reform across the board; we should strip from the books all the so-called strict-liability (intent-less) crimes, the process crimes, the victimless crimes, and so forth. It shouldn’t be a felony to lie to a federal officer if the lie is not about anything material, for example.

The WaPo story utterly failed to mention the fact that deranged leftists have long planned to disrupt the 2024 elections and any potential Republican presidency. Buried by the news are credible reports of leftist plans to: shut down the nation’s capital in case of Trump’s re-inauguration, disrupt major ports and shipping facilities, and in one remarkable example, to bomb the FedEx facility and the airport in Memphis, Tennessee – one of the busiest cargo airports in the world. Generally, intercepted plans suggest leftists intend to widely disrupt U.S. economic activity unless Trump is removed from office.

And those are just the ones we know about.

Here’s what to take away from this story. For over two years now, I’ve heard conservatives complain about the stolen election and the lack of planning about how to actually drain the swamp. But there IS planning going on about how to drain the swamp. And there is planning going on about how to secure the elections. There are two very good reasons why you haven’t heard more about those plans.

First, Establishment Media will never report anything that would buoy conservative hopes. So it’s not like they’ll be advertising it for us. Second, it’s not time yet. Especially as to election security, if remedial security plans were unveiled too soon, then cheaters would have time to develop countermeasures. Some things have to be done early and publicly, like changes to elections laws in some states, and we’ve seen those. But as for other strategies, one must wait till very close to the election before revealing the whole plan.

I do not know all the plans. I do not need to know. But I do know there is a lotof planning going on. There’s no guarantee the plans will work. But neverthink that conservatives are rolling blindly into this election cycle without plans. And today’s WaPo story proves how just upset the liberals are to find out about conservative planning.

🔥 Yesterday, Michelle sent me one of the best ideas I’ve yet seen for pushing back against the Alphabet Army that I’ve seen in a long time, designed by attorney Mike Yoder. It starts with the “straight flag,” which I didn’t even know was a thing:

image 4.png

CLIP: Attorney Mike Yoder explains hetero pushback strategy (~2:00)

Yoder’s idea is not to try to cancel the rainbow flag or even attack it at all. The strategy is to teach normal kids to ask teachers to also hang up the “straight flag;” the flag that represents them and their beliefs. Obviously, woke teachers will obstinately refuse. Yoder, bless him, put together a ‘packet’ of case law and materials instructing parents, students and teachers about how viewpoint discrimination violates the Constitution.

If teachers hang a pride flag, they must also hang up a straight flag (at least, upon request).

If, after getting the packet, the teacher still refuses to hang the straight flag, it becomes intentional discrimination. Straight students can get a court order requiring the teacher to hang up the heterosexual flag, stop discriminating against them, and probably awarding their attorney’s fees. It’s so clear that I’d bet a pointedly-written demand letter to the school board would do the trick in most cases.

It seems pretty clear the ultimate result of a national straight-flag movement would be the banning of all sex-preference flags. Which would be great.

💉 El Salvadoran judo champion and 2008 Olympic bronze medal winner Franklin Cisneros, 39, died suddenly and unexpectedly AT HOME in Florida on October 28th.

image 5.png

No further information is available about Franklin’s untimely passing.

💉 Former child actor Evan Ellingson, 35, who starred in CSI: Miami, My Sister’s Keeper, and 24, died suddenly and unexpectedly in bed AT HOME on Sunday in Fontana, California.

image 6.png

According to reports, Even died in a ‘sober living home.’ Evan’s cause of death remains “pending” and an autopsy was scheduled for yesterday. I’m not holding my breath waiting for the results.

💉 Indie band Night Cafe’s lead singer Sean Martin, 26, died suddenly and unexpectedly this weekend.

image 7.png

The Liverpool group announced the sad news on Instagram:

image 8.png

There were lots of news reports about the young singer’s shocking death, but not one of them mentioned Sean’s cause of death.

💉 Former president of IMG Models and “Fashion Titan” Ivan Bart, 60, died this weekend “after a short illness.”

image 9.png

Ivan’s “short illness” remains shrouded in mystery. Supermodels Cindy Crawford, Gigi Hadid, Hailey Bieber and Ashley Graham all posted shocked and saddened tributes following the news of Ivan’s death.

🔥 The Hill ran a story yesterday headlined, “Senate Republicans unveil border security demands for Ukraine funding.

image 10.png

Yesterday, Senate Republicans, including Ukraine hawks like Senators Lindsey Graham (S.C.), Tom Cotton (Ark.) and James Lankford (Okla.), unveiled a list of ‘immigration reforms’ they will demand be attached to any aid package for Ukraine, which the Hill predicted “signaled a difficult negotiation with Democrats in the next few weeks.”

Let’s hope it’s a difficult negotiation. It’s not clear how much power Republicans can exercise in the Senate, but if they can peel off one or two democrats, tying border assistance for Ukraine to border assistance for the United States would be one way to ensure that no aid package passes at all. For whatever reason, democrats seem intent on keeping the U.S.’s border throttled wide open for the time being.

🚀 France 24 ran a freedom-loving story yesterday headlined, “Zelenskyy Calls Holding Elections in Wartime Ukraine ‘Utterly Irresponsible’.

image 11.png

It’s true Zelensky said that, but the actual news that happened was Zelensky cancelled another election cycle because Putin. We must save Ukraine to save democracy! We must not let the tiny flicker of democracy fizzle out in Ukraine! Well, we must save the ideal of democracy anyway. Over in Eastern Europe, like in Gaza, democracy per se doesn’t always involve actualelections, not proper ones.

The whole thing is very complicated and you just wouldn’t understand. Don’t bother your pretty little heads about it. Just keep paying your taxes. Freedom!

🔥 Finally, in the bottom story of the day: Nobody could’ve seen this coming. The Daily Mail UK ran a stimulating story yesterday headlined “EXCLUSIVE: Demand for unvaxxed sperm spikes: Women turning to shady Facebook groups to find unvaccinated sperm donors.

image 12.png

The slippery Daily Mail spent most of the article’s column inches ‘debunking’ the notion that mRNA vaccines impact fertility, mainly because the CDC said so. But I’m not sure fertility is the entire reason why some women are wanting unjabbed … fertility materials. After injecting as much doubt as it could about the swarming “Unjabbed Sperm Donors” Facebook group, the Daily Mail finally had to admit that, “anecdotally,” its diligent reporters did find plenty of examples of women seeking unjabbed specimen donors in online ads.

But it doesn’t prove anything! At least not to the Mail’s reporters, who presumably feel unfairly left out because they can’t qualify for the Unjabbed Sperm Donors group, and so they just feel totally discriminated against. Stupid conspiracy theorists.

Or, it’s another covid miracle; the startling rise of an entirely-new industry that didn’t even exist three years ago. How about that? And all we men had to do was not get a shot.

Have a terrific Tuesday! There’ll be more hot and steamy C&C tomorrow morning, so tune back in — and bring your favorite mug for a refill.
