Some C&C commenters were spitting out roofing nails yesterday, after I failed to set the morning post on fire by claiming that every race the Republicans lost was the result of rampant cheating, voting machine hacking, and other dirty work at the crossroads.

Here’s one well-intentioned but testy example:

Dear reader, first of all, I wasn’t writing about 2018 or 2020 yesterday, but an off-year election in 2023. Since I’ve never referred to the Resident by his official title, I think ya’ll can assume I also suffer from a chronic, itchy case of lingering unresolved questions about 2020. Please note that I’ve litigated — at some personal cost —  five elections cases in recent years, all for Republicans.

And let me add that Katie Hobbs and the democrats stole the Arizona election, probably to keep the border open. So.

Second, never tell a lawyer, “I know someone who personally saw…” That’s not helpful to us. Say instead, “Ron Burgundy of Bourbon Breath, Kentucky, whose cell number is 666-404-4321, personally saw…”  That way I can verify the information, ask the witness questions, and get an affidavit that might actually be useful for something.

Third: as a fellow citizen, I believe you! Fine, Andy Beshear is bulls’ bobbly bollocks, a stumbling disaster, John Fetterman and Nancy Pelosi’s love child, the absolute worst. And whatshisname, the Republican guy, was a slam-dunk, name-brand, can’t lose, home run. Sure, fine. The only way the Republican lost, a guy whose name I already forgot (sorry Kentucky people!), was because democrats cheated. Had to be.

But as a lawyer and as a trusted news source, I can’t allege that kind of stuff without evidence, evidence apart from “that’s the only thing that makes sense.” I know it often frustrates some of you guys when I’m sometimes silent about a particular topic. But the reason you can rely on C&C is because I (almost) never get carried away and join in all the hot takes.

I try to wait until I can publish something reliable.

Finally, you missed the point of yesterday’s post. I didn’t complain about the Republicans bobbling the abortion issue because I relish quarterbacking from my armchair or telling everybody else how they could have done their jobs better. I wrote all that specifically to counter the Establishment Media’s obvious developing narrative that the reason some Republicans lost is because voters prefer pro-abort candidates.

That is a false narrative and gives us a great opportunity to bring up mandates.

Sure, there were signs of cheating, especially in Pennsylvania, where electronic voting machines were documented reversing votes. But, as of going to press yesterday (and today), I have not yet seen any evidence — using the actual legal definition — that the races described in yesterday’s post resulted from systemic fraud. We just don’t know yet.

If you want some rabid speculation about potential cheating, the internet is full of that stuff, you don’t need me. I, your humble author, will continue doing my level best to only bring you reliable information that you can confidently share with your blue-pilled friends and relatives to help show them the light.

Remember — the Establishment Media is allowed to be wrong all the time(cough, Hamas Hospital, cough), but I only get to be wrong once. So, whenever I see some evidence — even thin evidence — evidence that I’d be willing to offer in court, I will tell you about it. I promise.

🔥 Now that’s out of the way, plenty of good election news continued trickling in yesterday, especially from local races. Since as you know, my ‘anti-Superman’ electoral philosophy is “local, local, local,” I was heartened and gratified to see many local races flipping conservative. For one encouraging example, the plucky group Moms for Liberty (a collection of domestic terrorists if ever I saw any) reported winning no fewer than +50 school board seats yesterday, and +90 more before that just in 2023:

If you want to know what is really in Republicans’ way it is ‘superman’ worship. I’m begging folks. I don’t know how better I can explain it. Trump, DeSantis, RFK, I don’t care. The over-focus on presidential politics is distracting people from actually fixing the nation’s problems.

Don’t believe me? Do you remember who it was that declared you, your church, and your small businesses were “non-essential?” Hmm?

It wasn’t President Trump. It wasn’t even Fauci. It was your local county commissioner, that’s who! Wake up! The feds only published guidelines. In most states, local politicians used their broad emergency powers to pull the country’s economic plug, and now look where we are.

Think! It’s not the clueless, shambolic idiot infesting the White House who is loading bookshelves with revolting gay porn and promoting aging, unattractive cross-dressers in the kids’ sections of your local libraries. It’s the local library board. It’s not Governor Beshear or Replacement Governor Hochul or even Oleaginous Governor Newsom instructing teachers to lie to parents about their kids experiencing dysphoric mental illness.

It’s the local school board.

When folks become completely fascinated by one person as their political ‘savior’ — whether it’s Trump, Beshear, DeSantis, whoever — they cheapen politics, turning civic participation into a rah-rah sporting event. They forget all about the fundamentals. Folks say they hate the uni-party, but that’s a lazy excuse for inaction. There’s no uni-party in local politics.

The national uni-party convinces folks to root for a single person, turning presidential politics into the Super Bowl, so folks will get so distracted they won’t do the work to take and keep control of their own home towns.

Before he retired, antihuman billionaire Scrooge McSoros dumped more of his money into local races than on national races. Why do you suppose he did that? Why do you think the big blue cities are now all experiencing controlled demolition? You don’t think it was a coincidence, do you? You don’t think that nincompoop Biden did it?

Sure, Governors and Presidents have roles to play. Having a good one is especially helpful in the short run, like in emergencies, like how Governor DeSantis did in Florida during the pandemic.

But local is where everything important starts. Local citizens first cut their teeth on politics as city commissioners, mayors, tax collectors, and supervisors of elections. It’s a meritocracy. As they gain political experience, the best local ones run for state offices. As they prove themselves at the state level, the best state-level ones percolate up and run for national office or high state office, like for governor. National-level politicians who last get appointed into federal agencies, or to run universities, or into other top federal offices.  It’s simple:

Local —> State —> National —> President, Agency, University, etc.

(Sure, there are exceptions, but that’s the core political formula, and always has been.)

This simple formula has somehow become a secret that the uni-party conceals from everybody while we’re all distracted by the latest, greatest Superman. But if everyone could just focus on the quality of the beginning of the pipeline, at the local level, everything else would follow along naturally. Want secure elections? Then first, secure the supervisor of electionspositions and the district attorney jobs.

That’s what that awful George Soros did. You can see the result.

Think about politics as if it were an investment strategy. In investment circles, they talk about default portfolio ratios. The basic idea is, to maximize return on investment, investors should keep a certain proportion of assets in cash, a certain percentage in real estate, a percentage in stocks, and a small part, say 10%, in high-risk, long-shot opportunities.

You could think about politics the same way. To get the best return on a political investment, folks should allocate seventy percent of their time and money to local races. Twenty percent should go to state-level races. And a little bit, ten percent, into national races, including for president. I made those numbers up, but you get the idea.

To be clear, I’m not saying the next presidential race is unimportant. The issue is a matter of proportion, of how we invest our limited time and treasure.

So, pretty please with organic whipped cream on top, could we try investing more time securing local offices, like helping sane moms get elected to school boards, and spend less time arguing with each other over which Superman should be the next Republican presidential candidate?

Let’s reverse the ‘Soros scheme.’

🔥 A fascinating story broke yesterday, headlined in CNBC as “High-end brothels serviced elected officials, tech and pharma execs, military brass: Feds.” I’ll skip the picture.

We don’t yet know much. But what we’ve learned so far is that a multi-year DOJ investigation out of the Massachusetts US Attorney’s office made three key arrests in a prostitution sting this week.

The handful of disclosed facts already suggest staggering implications.

First, the three arrested men all appear to be Chinese nationals: ‘James’ Lee, 68, Han “Hana” Lee, 41, and Junmyung Lee, 30. Court papers show prosecutors believe they used other aliases and are flight risks. The men operated a sophisticated, multi-state, high-end prostitution service targeting elected officials, military leaders, and business executives. Sound familiar yet? According to the filed papers, targeted customers also included “lawyers, scientists and accountants.”

The idiots who fell for the scheme were serviced out of luxury apartments, which would have been trivially easy to wire for video and audio. Customers were required to be “vetted,” in a detailed “verification” process that would have completely implicated them in the scheme and made them fully susceptible to blackmail.

If they were, in fact, Chinese spies, they were brilliant. Or, Americans are so stupid the Chinese look smart by comparison. They used our own money to set up the scheme. For example, James Lee’s various business accounts showed deposits of a half million in federal Covid-19 relief funds. The affidavit stated the Covid-19 relief funds were “possibly fraudulently obtained.”

According to the investigating agent’s affidavit, there are “potentially hundreds” of “yet to be identified customers.” The affidavit did not name any of the already-identified customers, but noted their names were excluded “not for purposes of maintaining their anonymity, but instead because our investigation into their involvement in prostitution is active and ongoing.”

We don’t yet know who any of the compromised elected officials, military leaders, or business executives were. But we can guess. The scheme focused on two very telling geographic areas: Virginia — just outside Washington D.C. — and Massachusetts, near major financial centers including New York City.

It’s early and I don’t want to get ahead of the story. But the only way we can start to get a handle on this problem is, in my view, by publicizing everyone involved.

There’s a lot that could be speculated about this developing story. James Lee looks like he could be the Chinese Jeffrey Epstein. I was instantly reminded of Whitney Webb’s prescient book, “One Nation Under Blackmail.”

And … why can’t these guys secure their pants? How stupid are our “elites,” really?

💉 Rapper C-Knight, 52, with two albums and a popular solo release, died on Tuesday after his family made the heartbreaking decision to terminate his life support. The artist had gone to the hospital in Los Angeles for scheduled dialysis (his diabetes treatment), when he suddenly and unexpectedly had BOTH a stroke AND a heart attack.

Even though he was in the hospital when he suffered his stroke and cardiac arrest, where critical care was nearly instantaneous, C-Knight still never woke up. Ultimately his doctors determined he was brain-dead. C-Knight’s friends and bandmates were understandably profoundly shocked by the artist’s untimely and unexplained death:

C-Knight was a talented rap artist, husband, and friend, who trusted the science.

💉 Iconic Australian director and recent star of Last King of the Cross, Simon Elrahi, 54, died suddenly and unexpectedly this week “after a short illness.” On his social media page for his film production company Simon recently wrote, “We don’t make movies to make money, we make money to make movies.”

Apart from directing and producing, over his 30-year career, Simon acted in over 50 films and television programs. Fellow Australian director Kriv Stenders was shocked and saddened by Simon’s sudden death:

Simon faced at least three different kinds of jab mandates. He never really stood a chance.

💉 Young Trinidadian social media influencer Samara Maloney died suddenly and unexpectedly this week from a brain aneurism.

From Samara’s extensive social media, it was clear she was fully jabbed. This is just one example:

Before judging her too harshly for helping push the shots, remember that the government specifically targeted influencers like Samara. She probably thought it was a big break.

🔥 Finally, speaking of compromised elected officials, yesterday the Hill ran an encouraging story headlined, “House GOP subpoenas Hunter Biden alongside suite of Biden family members.”

Yesterday, the House Oversight Committee took the “remarkable step” of subpoenaing depositions from a half-dozen of Joe Biden’s family members, as part of its ongoing impeachment inquiry. Subpoenas were issued to: James Biden’s wife, Sarah Biden; Hunter Biden’s wife, Melissa Cohen; Hallie Biden, Beau Biden’s widow; and her sister Elizabeth Secundy.

The Committee also asked for an interview with Hunter’s former business partner Tony Bobulinski, and House Oversight Chair James Comer’s (R-Ky.) press release said he “plans to send additional subpoenas and transcribed interview requests later this week.”

Democrats and the White House dismissed the subpoenas as a “sham,” and made the unlikely claim there is “no evidence” to support Republicans’ bribery allegations. For its part, the Hill’s article questioned, if not dismissed, all the Republicans’ evidence — in contrast with NBC’s report earlier this week. At least the Hill ran the story at all.

The democrats opened these floodgates with their January 6th investigations, multiple Trump impeachments, and their raft of process-crime lawsuits. Now the investigatory subpoena chickens are flocking home to roost.

Apart from the SADS stories, that’s a lot of great news today.
