Better in their words…

Perhaps you missed it, but we “nearly lost America” on Saturday night when a “pro-Palestinian” protest spun out of control and activists clashed with police.

But it wasn’t the Capitol and congressional lawmakers who were the focus of this mob’s rage. No, these democracy destroyers were mad at Joe Biden himself. Indeed, they nearly breached an exterior White House gate during this mostly peaceful protest. That, and the president was the subject of some of their hurtful chants. As the New York Post reports, “A swarm of Pro-Palestinian supporters shouted ‘f*** Joe Biden’ slogans as they nearly ripped down a reinforced fence outside the White House during a charged protest Saturday night.” You mean it wasn’t “Let’s go Brandon”?

It was “charged” all right. So charged, in fact, that the U.S. Secret Service told Fox News that “some fences were damaged outside the White House, and that staff members and journalists were ‘relocated’ as a result. The White House also said on Saturday that President Biden is currently at Camp David.”

That’s right. The object of the mob’s affection wasn’t even there to hear them. As Not the Bee quipped: “They’re chanting ‘F— Joe Biden,’ but it’s the weekend. Don’t they know there’s only about a 0% chance that Biden is even in the White House?”

As the Post continues: “Video shows the crowd shaking the fence so viciously that a section of it became partially dislodged while a horde of Secret Service police pushed back to keep the ralliers from entering the grounds. Some protesters hurled water bottles and the sticks broken off their Palestinian flags at the officers, while others tried to climb the fence.”

Heavens to Murgatroyd, it’s a dark day for our “democracy” when cops and Secret Service agents are clashing with thugs who’ve taken the wrong side in the Israel-Hamas war. An awful day indeed when protesters are screaming “Break it down!” and telling Joe Biden “You support the murdering of children!”

It’s as if these mostly peaceful folks didn’t hear Biden’s remarks just over a week ago in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, when he said, “Today, we gather in a new year, some 246 years later, just one day before January 6, a day forever seared in our memory because it was on that day that we nearly lost America, lost it all.”

How many times can one nation almost lose it all?

Interestingly, though, we’ve yet to hear the president denounce these domestic terrorists, nor have we gotten word of a massive FBI sweep to round up the insurrectionists, nor a massive congressional investigation to get to the bottom of it and see that “justice” is served. We’ve no doubt all of these measures are forthcoming, though. Or perhaps not. After all, there were no reports of Trump supporters at this political protest.

Indeed, as The Babylon Bee reports:

“Rest assured, not a single person shaking the fences outside the White House was wearing Trump paraphernalia,” said Officer Stan Wiggins. “We can all sleep sound knowing that the crowd chanting for the mass murder of innocents contained absolutely zero Republicans.”

No Republicans were there, eh? Perhaps that explains why no arrests were made.
