🔥 Twitter restored more Team Reality accounts on Christmas Day: Emma Woodhouse, Daniel Kotzin, Michael Senger, el gato malo, Andrew Bostom, and other folks were all returned to the social media platform. I’ve missed them! It kind of feels like a ragtag group of vanished friends and family miraculously stumbled back into the village after being released from the Gulag, just in time for Christmas dinner.
🔥 New readers probably don’t know that I completed a year of journalism school in college, back when professors would give you an “F” at the drop of a hat for getting a fact wrong or mischaracterizing something. One of my favorite pastimes is ripping up corporate media’s political press releases dressed up in journalism costumes.
So let’s do another one! In the wake of news of the Florida Supreme Court’s approval of the Governor’s petition for a Covid Grand Jury, the Hill ran a stale cold-take yesterday headlined, “DeSantis’s Request for COVID Vaccine Probe Denounced by Health Experts.”
Denounced!
Well, not exactly. The halfhearted story rounded up a rogue’s gallery of compliant “experts” to criticize the Governor. One omission in particular would’ve earned the writer an “F”: they failed to mention a single one of DeSantis’ own experts who spoke eloquently at his roundtable justifying the Grand Jury. They did mention the roundtable, and I give them props for linking it on Rumble. (Sorry, YouTube!)
Here’s the Hill’s entire description of the Governor’s RoundTable:
The request was first made known during a roundtable discussion the Florida governor held last week, in which he condemned what he viewed as the linking of morality to pandemic mitigation methods such as staying at home in the early parts of the outbreak and getting vaccinated once the shots became available later on, and criticized federal COVID-19 guidance as being a “huge political farce.”
That is all true, he did make those points. But overall, the Governor actually spoke very little at the roundtable. He mainly asked questions and let his public health and infectious disease experts answer. But oddly, the Hill omitted ALL reference to ANYTHING the Governor’s experts said. For all its readers know, nobody else attended the roundtable. It was a roundtable with one big chair.
This is what is goes for “balance” these days. Maybe the Hill reporter was working at the speed of journalism?
Anyway, the Hill summarized the opinions of its crack squad of counter-experts like this:
Public health experts and physicians, however, said DeSantis’s approach to scrutinizing the vaccines was flawed and counterproductive to promoting public health.
I bet they hated having to add the words “approach to.” To please their demanding pharma masters, the cowardly sycophant reporters really wanted say that “scrutinizing the vaccines” itself is “counterproductive.” But they knew it would give away the game, tipping a story that is practically a vaccine advertisement right into the marketing bin.
So they were left with this tepid argument: DeSantis “approach” to “scrutinizing” vaccines is supposedly flawed and counterproductive. How “flawed?” How “counterproductive?” The Hill doesn’t say, not exactly, nor does it suggest any less-flawed or more productive way to “scrutinize the vaccines.”
The Hill’s entire premise is wrong. DeSantis isn’t going to scrutinize the vaccines, that’s the Grand Jury’s job. Actually, even the Grand Jury won’t scrutinize the vaccines. They are what they are, and aren’t. The Grand Jury is going to scrutinize the PEOPLE who pushed the vaccines using false information, like the claim that you’d help end the pandemic by taking the vaccine, or that the mRNA would stick in the injection site instead of seeping into your heart, brain, testicles and ovaries.
Rather than explain its premise, the Hill mounted a weak defense of the jabs using the “previously stated” opinions of un-identified experts and un-named “studies”:
As has been previously stated by physicians and researchers, no vaccine is 100 percent effective, but studies have consistently shown the coronavirus vaccines offer strong enough protection for recipients to prevent severe disease, hospitalization and death.
Really? The jabs have “strong enough protection” to “prevent severe disease, hospitalization and death?”
That’s weird, especially in light of the Washington Post’s “pandemic of the vaccinated” article last month, in which it said:
For the first time, a majority of Americans dying from the coronavirus received at least the primary series of the vaccine. Fifty-eight percent of coronavirus deaths in August were people who were vaccinated or boosted… a continuation of a troubling trend that has emerged over the past year. As vaccination rates have increased and new variants appeared, the share of deaths of people who were vaccinated has been steadily rising. In September 2021, vaccinated people made up just 23 percent of coronavirus fatalities. In January and February this year, it was up to 42 percent[.]
Huh. If the jabs “prevent” death as the Hill claimed yesterday, how could almost 60% of Covid deaths be in VACCINATED people? Maybe I don’t understand what “prevent” means.
Next, the Hill’s roundup of cherry-picked experts criticized the Grand Jury as follows:
DeSantis “appears to be focused on creating fear around vaccines that have been shown to be safe and effective,” rather than protecting the lives of Floridians.
In other words, the Grand Jury might hurt vaccine sales, which are already on a ventilator. It also claimed to be able to look into the Governor’s mind, bypassing the reasons the Governor and his experts gave, and telling us the “real” reason for the Grand Jury: to create fear.
But, do you know who’s DEFINITELY been creating fear? That’s right, the media. Apparently it’s okay when the media does it, to sell vaccines, but it’s not okay for the Governor to do it, even assuming the Hill correctly imputed the Governor’s motive.
There are legitimate avenues for evaluating vaccine recommendations, but DeSantis’s investigation request was not one. “This is turning a matter of health and science into a political wedge issue, with the likely consequence that many people will be misled into placing themselves and their families at risk of serious illness and death.”
Are they really trying to get us to believe, at this point, that there weren’t any politics involved in vaccine recommendations? It was always only “health and science?”
“His understanding of the facts or at least his articulation of the facts are just wrong.”
Okay, but WHICH facts were articulated wrong? Hello?
The investigation is “a waste of taxpayer money and time and effort.”
You have got to be kidding me.
“No one has either inappropriately or purposely either overstated or understated the vaccine in any way. It’s a brand-new technology. Like any brand-new technology, you make some assumptions about what you think’s going to happen. It actually turned out to be a whole lot better than most people thought it would be.”
This guy should review one of those collections of clips showing officials overstating the vaccine before he gives statements to media. And claiming that the vaccines worked out better than most people thought is pure gaslighting. NOBODY thinks that. He just made it up.
Myocarditis following vaccination is a “transient phenomenon” from which the vast majority of patients fully recovered.
The heart muscle NEVER HEALS; cardiac damage is always permanent. The Hill’s expert didn’t cite any studies for this, either (he generally cited to a CDC “survey”). And ask all the dead people about how transient their myocarditis was. Oh wait, you can’t.
“The message is not as credible when [public officials] get into the weeds and start arguing really technical details without having the background and training.”
But again, DESANTIS didn’t argue any technical details. He listened to the experts, who did have the background and training.
It’s obvious that none of the Hill’s experts actually watched the roundtable, and not one of them commented on what DeSantis’ experts said, even though the story was based on the roundtable. The truth is, all the Hill’s experts’ arguments were rebutted in the roundtable discussion.
Bottom line: DeSantis outplayed the media. Again!

💉 Dr. Sohrab Lutchmedial, 52, director of cardiology at the New Brunswick Heart Centre, died suddenly and unexpectedly in his sleep on November 8th. AT HOME.

But don’t cry for Dr. Lutchmedial, he was a happy jabber who opposed sentimentality in the face of death. Sometimes. Back in July, 2021, Dr. Lutchmedial tweeted, “For those that won’t get the shot for selfish reasons — whatever — I won’t cry a tear at their funeral.”
He said “for selfish reasons.” Like selfishly not wanting to die at home of a mild, transient myocarditis, or selfishly not believing experts like Dr. Lutchmedial when they falsely promised that the jabs actually protected grandma.
💉 Ontario Doctor Perley Weaver, 56, suddenly and unexpectedly floated off, headed for the Perley Gates, on December 15th. His heart stopped AT HOME, for some reason, maybe due to a mild and transient myocarditis.

Ironically, Dr. Weaver’s wife Pamela is a passionate anti-vaxxer, and the couple cared for an autistic child. But in Canada, doctors face a strict vaccine mandate if they want to keep practicing medicine, which probably has nothing to do with it, I just mentioned that for no reason at all.
💉 Dax Tejera, 37, executive producer of ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” died suddenly and unexpectedly AT HOME last Friday, of a mild and transient but fatal heart attack. It could’ve been worse. Imagine if he hadn’t had the shot.

💉 Erica Gonzalez, ABC 10’s Morning Show producer and former U.S. Marine, died suddenly and unexpectedly on December 21st, AT HOME in her sleep.

They haven’t released Erica’s cause of death. It was probably climate change that got her. It would’ve been worse without the you-know-what.
🔥 I don’t often suggest you read something outside Coffee & Covid, but there are exceptions, including this October 21st journal article published in Surgical Neurology International titled, “The Pharmaceutical Industry Is Dangerous to Health. Further Proof With COVID-19.”
It’s an important article. The author, Fabien Durelle, describes all the methods the pharmaceutical industry uses to manipulate science to sell its products, especially (but not only) related to the pandemic. The 167 reference footnotes alone make the article worth saving.
Durelle tracked the genesis of scientific manipulation back to the tobacco companies, who were faced with an existential crisis when studies began showing harms from smoking cigarettes, like lung cancer. So Big Tobacco occupied science, flooded the journals with favorable studies written by pay-for-play academics, and bought themselves decades. Here is just one of Durelle’s lists of problems of how various industries are manipulating science.
Big business, pharma, and the government:
* Fund or create journals to influence what is published.
* Suppress publication of unfavorable science.
* Attack individual scientists and whole cohorts of researchers.
* Remove individual scientists from positions of power.
* Silence plaintiffs using secret payments.
* Recruit, fund, and train individuals to be trusted scientific voices for industry.
* Fund, produce, and disseminate textbooks and other educational or academic materials.
* Fund media outlets to influence what is disseminated.
* Co-opt journalists through media training and conference funding.
* Ensure and normalize industry’s presence in academic settings in attempts to gain trust and scientific credibility within academia.
Although Durelle touches on military involvement, I believe that, not only are industries like big tobacco and big pharma occupying science, deep state government agencies have also gotten into the game. I think what we’ve seen with government’s occupation of Twitter and the other social media companies is a reflection of something happening in science for a long time.
I also witnessed it firsthand, while I was battling mask mandates, when I observed the burgeoning literature claiming to support cotton mask filtration of virus particles which, tellingly, didn’t benefit pharma, and defending novel military-endorsed mRNA therapies as though they were the safest treatments since Bayer kids’ aspirin.
Seeing all the problems enumerated in once article is pretty breathtaking. One begins to wonder: how much of “science” remains trustworthy? As far back as 2004, Richard Horton, chief editor of The Lancet, said that medical journals had become “information laundering operations” for the pharmaceutical industry. In 2015, Horton said up to half of the scientific literature might simply be wrong.
All science should be viewed skeptically. There’s no such thing as reliable “scientific consensus.” It’s rubbish.
Consider the significance of this article. While it didn’t publish in a major journal, it did publish in “a” journal, which means it is now on PubMed and the NIH’s study website. This kind of information would have died a horrible editorial death from sudden and unexpected covid censorship just a few short months ago.
The floodgates are open! Let the waters of truth flow.
🔥 On Christmas Eve, investigative journalist David Zweig posted the latest Twitter Files exposé, this time reporting on how the platform silenced heterodox scientific and medical voices during the pandemic and suppressed criticism of the government. Zweig then published a full-form article on The Free Press, which is an easier and more complete version of his serialized tweets.
The article posted yesterday, headlined “How Twitter Rigged the Covid Debate.” The sub-headline explained, “The platform suppressed true information from doctors and public-health experts that was at odds with U.S. government policy.”
Shocking.
There’s a lot, but most of it will be completely unsurprising to anybody who was paying attention over the last two years. One pedestrian example was this internal email dated March 2021, which announced censorial action against the superbly-credentialed scientist Martin Kuldorff, just for saying that people with natural immunity didn’t need vaccines:

Dr. Andrew Bostom, just reinstated this week, was perma-banned for tweeting a peer-reviewed study about loss of sperm following vaccination:

An internal review following Dr. Bostom’s ban showed that out of five so-called “strikes,” four did not even come close to violating Twitter’s published policy. They left him banned, though.
Maybe the most surprising part was that it looks like, at first, Twitter executives pushed back somewhat against growing government involvement in picking winners and losers on Twitter. But after pressure mounted, Twitter eventually collapsed into more or less total compliance.
In one email directly citing the former vice-president, a twitter employee described tense calls with “very angry” federal bureaucrats:

Zweig’s conclusion was that Twitter censored anti-establishment (heterodox) views on Covid, even if they were true, and most significantly, unrelated to any effort to curate “real” misinformation:
At Twitter, Covid-related bias bent heavily toward establishment dogmas. Inevitably, dissident yet legitimate content was labeled as misinformation, and the accounts of doctors and others were suspended both for tweeting opinions and demonstrably true information.
The disclosures show the censorship wasn’t really related to “misinformation” or any search for truth at all. It was always just grubby backroom politics.
Yesterday, Elon Musk tweeted that there is more coming about Twitter’s Covid censorship, including of “leading doctors & researchers from Harvard, Stanford & other institutions.”

🔥 Two things have struck me about the way Musk is handling his new social media platform.
First, since Musk took over, there have been more improvements to Twitter than in the entire four years that I’ve had an account on the platform. And I’m not just talking about having my shadow ban removes. The platform runs noticeably faster. It now shows the number of “reads” as well as likes. Reads is a much more useful measurement of engagement than likes. The “blue check” program is now rational. We get constant feedback from top Twitter management (Elon) who stays engaged with his customers. Every few days it seems something changes for the better.
Twitter is finally listening to its “real” customers instead of government and pharma cronies.
Second, Musk is handling a horrible loss of user trust in exactly the right way: full disclosure and firings. It occurred to me that the public health agencies could recover lost public trust the same way, by owning up to what really happened during the pandemic, being completely transparent, letting independent journalists in to write their own takes about what happened, and cleaning house by firing the bad actors who acted secretly to abuse public trust.
The agencies won’t do it, of course. So we’ll have to help them.
🔥 Independent researcher Name Redacted completed his survey of LinkedIn biographies of high-ranking Google employees, and found that since 2016, a whopping 165 of them came to the tech giant from the Intelligence Community. At least 165. Imagine that.
That news may or may not surprise you. But think about this: the information was in plain sight, right on LinkedIn. In the six years since 2016, why hasn’t corporate media ever covered the story of an exodus of intelligence community personnel being assigned to, I mean hired by, the giant tech platforms?
Haha, that was a rhetorical question. You know the answer. It’s because the intelligence community already owns corporate media, that’s why they didn’t cover the story. It wasn’t “news” to them.
