🔥 Lest anyone conclude that just because I live in the free state of Florida, I somehow had it any easier during the pandemic than folks who live in California, Oregon, or Michigan, I would like assure you that I got a full doseof lockdown mania until the State of Florida finally ripped its emergency powers out of Alachua County’s clutching fingers. But they are hanging in there; have a look at this “float” that titilated the locals Saturday in a citizen-organized New Year’s parade — right here in my home town.

Behold: Gainesville, Florida’s unironically-named “Dr. Fauci Fan Club,” on parade:

You’d think people would want to conceal their disgraceful Fauci fetishes. I cannot even begin to imagine the deranged thought process of anyone who thinks that human cockroach Anthony Fauci is actually “the Science,” as he claimed, or how addicted to  spike protein someone must be to possibly conceive of such a horrible idea as building a giant papier-mâché Fauci — and then actually invest the time and resources to carrying-out the bewildering scheme.

Amusingly, this year’s parade was held on the one-year anniversary of Fauci’s last day of employment.

Fauci-worship is nothing new around these parts. Witness this appalling local headline from October, 2022:

Trust me when I tell you that the people in the Fauci Fan Club control every part of our local uniparty government. But the bright side is, I often wonder whether I would have ever gotten involved in covid litigation had I lived in some more sane part of Florida. Everything happens for a reason.

I don’t even want to know what kind of initiation rituals the Fauci Fan Club requires.

🔥 On the other hand, having the day off yesterday, and what with the Childers family enjoying a lazy holiday and taking it easy, I had a rare bit of extra time for sparring with Covidians on social media. I can’t say I enjoy it, but I do like to wade into social media’s fever swamps from time to time if only to find out what the current raft of covid apologists are barking.

But yesterday surprised me. It’s premature to draw any broad conclusions from a sample size of one, but then this response came surprisingly easily. We were arguing about the jabs, of course, and after providing him with a couple of studies, I’d just told this gentleman that I could give him a hundred more studies evidencing jab injuries — but what was the point? He’d just ignore them all.

His response was bemusing. He denied ignoring the studies and admitted the vaccines are dangerous:

I was shocked, because the last time I engaged in similar mind-to-mind social media combat, the Covidians were still denying the ‘safe and effective jabs’ have injured anybody. I feel like it shows some incredible progress.

But it wasn’t any sign that Covidians are convinced to stop the jabs. Despite acknowledging the unavoidable injuries, this person still favored the vaccines. He just thinks the admitted risk of injury is outweighed by a broad, intangible communal benefit: a utilitarian ethic that prioritizes the needs of the manyover the needs of the few, or the one, as Spock so coldly put it in a series of 1980’s Star Trek movies.

Public health’s covid response was the fruit of Spock’s communitarian ethos — a marxist philosophy that I find unforgivably evil and reprehensible to any right-thinking person.

🚀 Africa News ran a story yesterday headlined, “BRICS expansion: five countries join ranks.” For some reason, U.S. corporate media has completely ignored the story.

Yesterday, Saudia Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Iran and Ethiopia officially joined the alternative-currency BRICS group of nations. (They were approved to join back in August.) Argentina was also slated to join, but — fortunately for America — Argentina’s new chainsaw-wielding, US-aligned, “far-right” president Javier Milei cancelled the country’s BRICS application last week and bowed out. (Is that why the CIA let him win?)

The group of now ten nations intends to replace the U.S. dollar as the primary world currency for international trade, which would be catastrophic for the United States. The acceleration of BRICS’s progress can fairly be described as an unfolding economic world war.

The BRICS group was formed in 2006 by Brazil, Russia, India and China. South Africa joined four years later in 2010. Then nothing happened for thirteen years. But now, thanks to the diligent efforts of halfwitted Joseph Robinette Biden, BRICS’s membership has doubled from five to ten countries, which together now hold a combined population of about 3.5 billion people, and have a combined economy worth over $28.5 trillion dollars, which is nearly a third of the world’s economy.

Also yesterday, President Putin of Russia rotated into the BRICS Chairmanship. The timing is purely coincidental, if you believe that. This short video clip provides an idea of their perspective and why the BRICS alliance attracted the new members:

The Eritrean President was describing Joe Biden’s foreign policy, which has yet to be sufficiently coherent to name. And that’s what they say to each other in public. Imagine what they’re saying when the cameras are off.

🔥 Rogue waves battered California all weekend. Yesterday, rogue waves hit Japan. NDTV ran the astounding headline, “48 Dead, Several Feared Trapped As 155 Earthquakes Hit Japan In A Day.”

It could have been much worse. The largest 7.6 magnitude quake caused only a small, two-foot high tsunami. The affected area suffered extensive property damage such as broken roadways, and though most buildings seem to have weathered the quake, the earthquake started lots of fires, and there were more extensive structural collapses in several areas.

As of this morning, lots of people in the affected area are still without power, and rescue operations continue. But tsunami warnings were lifted late yesterday. The damage seems relatively small in comparison to 2011’s massive 9.0 magnitude quake that killed around 20,000 Japanese people and swamped the Fukushima nuclear plant, which has remained a thorny problem ever since.

Totally coincidentally, yesterday also saw a massive, chart-topping solar flare. Headline from Forbes:

This month begins the projected ten-month period of solar maximum. We’ll see how things develop.

💉 People Magazine ran a perfectly horrible story Sunday headlined, “Kentucky Woman Gets Her Limbs Amputated After Kidney Stone Infection: ‘I’m Just So Happy to Be Alive’.”

Healthy nurse and mother of two Cindy Mullins, 41, had her legs amputated last week after getting a kidney stone that got infected and then turned septic. Her doctors say Cindy’s arms must come off next.

Cindy is miraculously taking these shocking developments as well as anyone possibly could. “I just said these are the cards I’ve been dealt and these are the hands I’m going to play,” Mullins said.

Cindy’s situation is extremely rare and atypical. Less than ten percent of people with kidney stones develop infections. Only one percent of the unlucky people who develop kidney-stone infections then get sepsis. Less than five percent of the tiny sliver of septic folks ever require any amputations, and of those, the vast majority involve only the loss of one or two limbs.

I included Cindy’s case as an example of the main sign I look for these days to evidence a potential jab injury: atypical disease presentation. It could becompletely unrelated, but as a healthcare professional, it is nearly guaranteed Cindy was mRNA vaccinated. A December 2021 Kentucky Public Health Department report stated that 89.5% of the state’s healthcare workers were “fully vaccinated.”

It would be super weird and even more atypical if there were another similar story this year, especially in the same geographic area.

💉 Something about Cindy’s ultra-rare, atypical story tickled my memory. It reminded me that back in September, the Daily Mirror ran another very similar story headlined, “Doctors remove 14-year-old boy’s hands and feet after he shows flu-like symptoms.”

Tennessee teenager and rising pianist Mathias Uribe, 14, who was also healthy and active in school sports, started getting flu symptoms in June. After the teen’s symptoms worsened, his parents rushed him to Vanderbilt University hospital, where Mathias had a heart attack. The young man was put on ECMO for two weeks and diagnosed with pneumonia and streptococcal toxic shock syndrome (sepsis).

Over the next few weeks Edgar and Catalina Uribe were forced to make the unimaginable decision to consent to Mathias’ quadruple amputation.

Mathias’ ICU pediatrician Dr. Katie Boyle worked with the other doctors to try and save as much of Mathias’ limbs as possible. She emphasized his condition is extremely rare and atypical, and something she hardly ever sees. Dr. Boyle suggested parents make sure kids get flu vaccines.

🔥 On Friday, Brownstone’s Jeffrey Tucker published an outraged article about NIH-head Francis Collins’ fake apology tour. The article counts the pandemic’s many costs and concludes that Collins’s contemptible non-apology was not even close to addressing the reality of the situation.

The Wall Street Journal’s editorial board also piled on, reacting with similar nausea to Collin’s halfwitted expression of regret:

You’ll probably recall that Francis Collins was the same NIH head who abused his authority by calling for a “quick and devastating take down” of the Great Barrington Declaration, which turned out to be 100% correct versus the NIH response, which failed in so many ways. To my knowledge, Collins has never been forced to defend this email (but he should be):

Mr. Tucker’s parade of pandemic horribles — and the fact that the list of missteps is now mainstream, and not banished to the outer darkness of conspiracy theory — got me thinking about our ongoing C&C discussion about how far we’ve come in one year. When you think about it, we have a lotof momentum going into 2024:

• DEI is in decline.  For example, Google backtracked on ‘key diversity programs’ last year amid a ‘tightening budget’.
• Jabs and jab makers are in decline, as significant product defects were identified last year.
• Censorship is in decline. For example, Meta’s heavily-censored Twitter alternative failed to launch. Academic papers critical of jabs are finding easier publication.
• ’Far right’ conservatives are winning elections all over the planet, from Argentina to New Zealand.

Those are just a few examples to tide you over. We could also add developments like the Ukraine money spigot being shut off for at least a few months, maybe permanently. The Biden Bribery case expanded. The Epstein disclosures expanded.

My prediction: this year will be the year worldwide conservatism goes on offense. I know, I know, you’ll believe it when you see it. So let’s see!

🔥 Finally, enjoy this heartwarming 2022 clip making the rounds on social media this week. The police bodycam video debuted Lafayette, Indiana pizza delivery driver Nicholas Bostic, 25, who ran into a burning house and saved four sleeping children aged 1 through 18. As if there weren’t enough, the kids then told him that another child, the 6-year-old, might still be in the house — so he ran back inside the burning structure, somehow found the girl, jumped out a second-story window holding her, and then carried her to a cop nearby who captured the moment on his bodycam. Watch to the end.

In March, Local ABC-7 News reported that Mr. Bostic received the Carnegie award for heroism and bravery:

I’d like to know how well the five kids’ parents tipped Nick once they got home. At least 18%, I hope. And, what kind of pizza was it? I would like to try some. Let us all be more like Mr. Bostic.
